Where I Got Most of My MLM Answers

by Stephanie Valentine on June 25, 2009

exploreSo, yup, I’m still stuck on the topic of getting you more connected to your MLM company. Read my posts about the five questions that will help you get more connected to your MLM company, and my post about my answers.

Just to reiterate, it’s really, really, really (I mean really) important to be deeply connected with your MLM company because it makes you a better marketer, a more passionate salesperson, and a stronger advocate for your business. It makes you hot, in an MLM business kind of way.

This is especially important if you are going to be promoting your MLM business online. When you are doing online MLM marketing, being really connected with your parent company, and hence passionate about your business, really makes your online personality shine, like a new pair of patent-leather shoes. You stand out.

Where to Get Answers to MLM Questions

So say you can’t answer some of those 5 probing questions about your MLM questions. Where do you get answers? Well, here’s where I got most of my answers to my MLM questions, plus answers to a whole bunch of questions I didn’t put on the list.

1. My upline team training webinars
2. My upline team training calls
3. My upline sponsor
4. Calling my parent MLM company with questions
5. Looking through my corporate-sponsored website (well, duh, right?)
6. Google (for some of the statistics)
7. Networking Times (online subscription)
8. Books by Robert Kiyosaki, Kim Klaver, Suze Orman, Paul Zane Pilzer, and John David Mann
9. Other people’s blogs aggregated through Google Reader (Michael Lemm has a great MLM blog)

Here are some other resources, which I also sometimes make use of:
1. Online MLM training programs
2. Online MLM forums (there are some good ones on Ryze and Facebook)
3. Straw polls among business acquaintances and friends
4. Surveys among my downline group
5. Coaching from online mentors and business coaches
6. Nasty emails from people who think MLM stinks (always good to know what’s out there)
7. My website, blog, and article directory analytics (very important for online MLM)

I hope that gives you some ideas on where to go if you feel like the main character in the movie “Clueless.” The general message here, in case you missed it, is that you should stop sitting on your butt and popping bon-bons while watching old reruns on TV. The MLM answers you seek are out there. If you look for them you will find them!

Note: This is your not-so-subtle suggestion to get moving, in case you missed that part. Some of my online mentors have to send me emails like this to get me moving, so I thought maybe you might also need a cattle prod to get your butt in gear.
